Full Metal Challenge on Discovery. 27 teams from all over the world compete in different ways (car bowling anyone?) with their homemade machines. Fun, but that’s not the kick. The thing is hosted by Cathy Whatshername from Scrapheap as well as... Henry. Henry as in Rollins. Funny, tattooed guy, kind of intense. Neat.
There seems to be an infection of a referrer-meme going through the blogverse. Tommy does it and so does Johan I’m jumping on the bandwagon, although I’ll annotate it as I go along.
Let’s begin with the good bits. Positive things that make me so much happier to know that some people actually are quite ok.
That wasn’t so painful now, was it? Weird stuff:
Last but not least, questions that probably didn’t yield an answer at the last search request.

And there you have it.
Things on DVD this year includes: Jeremiah season 1 in Januari, Angel season 4, Dead Zone season 2, Kung Fu season 1 and C.S.I. season 3 in March, Kids in the Hall season 1 wide release and Buffy season 7 in April and Invader Zim (with commentary track by Jhonen! Jhonen!) in May. I’m not too sure about getting CSI or Kung Fu, but still. And this is just the first half. Damn.
This sunday, if you live in Sweden, you must watch SVT2 at 16:25. You must, because they’re showing Lost in La Mancha (imdb). The trouble is that afterwards, I’d probably would want to see The Man Who Killed Don Quijote even more.
Joss Whedon could very well end up writing the New X-men comic. He has confirmd this himself. So I might have to start buying the comics again.
[From Whedonesque]
He have a Wicker Man original poster. Christopher Lee saw it and wanted it. Dave said “no, but you can sign it for me.” Mr Lee signed the poster. Lally now have a signed Wicker Man original poster that Christopher Lee couldn’t have.
This is just a small fotnote. Lally also likes Slottskällans beer and for that alone we here at the Lost Pages salute him.

This was somewhat horrific at first glance. But it was only because of their referrer-list at the bottom. Five people had clicked on the Jeff Noon-link in my about section in the last 24 hours.
So people actually read the about page? Gosh.
Have I told you about Gothenburg? Yes I have, but that was last year. This year however, things were a bit different. Not too different mind you but different none the less.
1 My train was early by fifteen minutes. This has never happened to me before so it was quite an experience. The ride itself was totally uneventful. I remember nothing except that we at times passed some beautiful scenery that kept its distance from outside the windows.
2 CD left the computer-related things behind him and is now persuing a geological career. As such, it was a bad bad idea for him to watch the Core. I can see why. He was later thankful that he also had avoided Tommy Lee Jones’ Vulcano.
3 You can fit a person inside one of the safe deposit boxes at the train station, but if you want to lock it it will cost 30 skr. So we didin’t. (But as they say: a blurry picture can tell a 1000 lies — so maybe we did.)
4 We didn’t watch Buffy, as the person at whose place we did this the last time wasn’t about. He was travelling around. It felt a bit weird, as he’s been there on every DFS in that town.
5 We ate Indian food and scones. Yay.
6 I had a cd burnt with all the Frantics episodes. An even greater joy would be if said cd didn’t have the large see-through area that renders it unreadable.
7 Johan has recieved an invitation from the Loy.
8 I didn’t buy any, but they had lots of nice and bizarre movies at SF-Bokhandeln. But I wanted to really bad.
9 CD — the secret identity of the super villain the Badness Man, who’s superpower is that he makes things worse and frighten children with his huge sock-outfit — thought it would be a good idea to have a DFS here, and just rumage through my DVD-collection.
11 But of course, all this was back in ‘Nam.
Read Road Waffles. It’s not Goats, but sometimes not even Goats is Goats so there. Road Waffles can however come awfully close at times. It’s irrelevant, weird and doesn’t always follow the rules of a comic strip. Read it now — I do.

This is Tommy early in the evening. I don’t think Ola had arrived yet.

Proof that not exactly everything in the next byline is 100% true.

Of course the photo just above and the one below, of the tv screen, were taken by this man who had a lot of fun with the camera. Ola is quite insane, but in a good way. He was alos the sole embodiment of live music entertainment for the evening since he’s a bit better than the Adam West Fanclub Experience. It also gave us the chance to relax and drink beer instead of trying to actually do something ourselves. And hey, free live music.

One of the many photos Ola took on the tv-screen during the end sequence of Fletch. Which reminds me about that Spies Like Us is about to begin.
The clock is about half past seven and I still haven’t been able to sleep. I’m tired, hungry and bored. I have nothing to watch on tv except MTV and really horrible cartoons. I’m a cartoon fan, so don’t get me wrong. I can watch halfbaked cartoons till my eyes bleed blue ink. But even I have to draw the line somewhere. And that line is here, animecrap and a dubbed version of Ice Age. Oh, and one of the channels had this “educational” cartoon that makes the Teletubbies seem like a good idea. No thanks. Had it been 11:30 I could have watched that Akira Kurosawa documentary, but that time is a few hours away.
Next update, which will happen pretty soonish today (unless I fall asleep because then it might be less soonish and more in the evening kind of way) will have pictures. Gosh.
Screw this, I’ll watch Firefly again.
